If you missed watching "Melodifestivalen" yesterday at 20.00 (8.00 pm) then here's a quick update on what happened and how it went!
It was live directly from Sweden, Gothenburg and the arena was filled with thousands and thousands of people.
I had a blast watching the program at home as I was lying on the couch and eating lots of junkfood!
Two of my favorite Swedish idols/bands were actually participating in the contest. It was the popular 17 years old girl idol, Oscar Zia and the pop/rock band State of Drama.
They were both great up on stage and they performed with such great songs!
My fingers were crossed for them and to my luck...
Oscar Zia with the song Yes We Can got to the finale and State of Drama with the song All We Are got a second chance!!!
I was so happy and excited for them. They really deserved the spots they were given although I really wish State of Drama got a finale spot too but it was handed to another artist called Ace Wilder that performed with the song, Busy Doin' Nothing. I've never heard of her before but her song was pretty good, to be honest!
Also a rock band called Outtrigger with the song Echo got a second chance spot too.
The ones that got to go home empty handed were Dr.Alban and Jessica Folcker. Another girl named Shirley Clamp got to leave empty handed too.
And the ones that got to leave the compition at the first voting round was CajsaStina Åkerström that peformed with the song En Enkel Sång and the band EKO that performed with a song called Red.

(Unluckily, I didn't find the videos for the ones that got to the finale or second chance but watch the whole program to see the performed songs that made it in the compititon!)
